With
the new century approaching I wanted to design a label that
depicted grape growing and wine making over the last 8,000
years.
Three
labels were designed for the Millennium 2000 series.
Label
One – The Beginning
Shows
images from the mythology of man carved in stone, Egyptians
being the first to trellis-control the vine for better
harvesting.
Label
Two – The Middle Ages
The
grape vine spread quickly across many nations and so, too, did
people’s enthusiasm to grow the vine and make wine.
The two small images show wine used in religious
ceremonies, and drunk from earthware mugs.
Label
Three- Modern Day
The
millennium year 2000. Modern
methods used in the growing of grapes, making and storing
wine, make the varieties of wine more diverse, but still just
as enjoyable to the drinker.
In
the coming year, 2001, I will release a red wine from Cabernet
Sauvignon (Cab Sav) grapes with the Middle Ages label.
It would be worthwhile to purchase the whole three
labels.
