The finest red Mataro, the red Muscatel and the Rubia red – all three varieties were hand-picked from the Vinifera region, to create a blend of premium quality red semi-dry wine.  The wine as been matured in American oak barrels over a long period; the nose and palate exhibit this whilst the finish is long and smooth.

The label is specially designed to welcome the Millennium year 2000 with an emphasis on grape growing and winemaking over the last 8,000 years.  Three labels have been designed by the winemaker to celebrate the history of the vine: The Beginning 6000 BC, The Middle Ages of 1000BC – 1000AD, and The Modern Age of today’s winemaking.

SHIRAZ 1999

The Shiraz grapes for this wine were selected from the Vinifera region and stored in American oak barrels to mature for 12 months, developing a rich red colour with full body, and the aroma of forest fruit flavours, leaving a smooth palate.

AKRASI WINES

CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2000

This wine is a variety of the Cabernet Sauvignon that is grown on the rich soils at the edge of the Vinfera forest region.  The winemaker selected this variety and the district to represent what the label suggests.

The wine has been processed in the traditional method, allowed to mature in oak barrels, developing a rich, full-bodied colour, with fruity flavours and aroma, while the finish is smooth.  To be enjoyed with good food.
