My
interest in wine making began in 1991, primarily
for my own use. After
having successful results, and wanting to
improve the quality of my wine, I decided to undertake studies
in wine
making. This gave me the expertise to eventually market my wine label to
the public.
When
naming the wine and designing the logo for my wine, I wanted
to depict the history of grape growing and wine making since
the vine was first found on earth, at the same time standing
out from other bottles of wine on the market.
The
design represents an explosion of interest from 8,000 years
ago when the grape was first found in Georgia Mongolia in
the Middle East. The zig-zag line represents the wide spread
of the vine across developing countries over the generations.
The two straight lines represent today’s success in
grape growing and wine making.
The word AKRASI comes from the Greek name of the wine
maker’s home town. Separating
the first letter A from the word AKRASI would make KRASI.
KRASI in Greek means wine, or you could say …
Aah!
Krasi.
